SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST

Summary: Nationwide Card Services, Inc. is seeking an outstanding candidate for the position of Senior Programmer Analyst. They will be responsible for developing and/or maintaining new and existing systems that meet or exceed the required standards set forth by management.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Manager to discover and document functional specifications for new systems of moderate to difficult complexity and scope.
• Assist Project Manager in leading the development team in defining and documenting detailed design and architecture for new and existing systems.
• Perform hands on development of new systems according to specifications.
• Work with Project Manager to ensure developed systems meet or exceed required usability standards defined in business and functional requirements.
• Understand and adhere to software development lifecycle methodology to accomplish system development.
• Understand and adhere to appropriate software configuration management processes.
• Provide adequate system documentation is provided for each system component (i.e., physical ERD, workflow diagrams, Use Case diagrams, inline code comments, etc.).
• Oversee testing processes and participate in system testing to ensure delivered solution meets requirements without error.
• Follow and enforce software release process for each project.
• Deliver system projects according to project schedule, budget, and requirements.
• Proactively study and keep current with new industry tools and techniques.
• Maintain and modify existing systems as required.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements: Three years verifiable work experience in the following programming languages, tools and/or methods:

• ASP
• ASP.net
• HTML
• JavaScript
• SQL database
• Microsoft Framework

Nice to have:

• Web 2.0 development experience
• DIV based layout with CSS method for designing web pages
• Ability to develop both the design of a site, along with implementing the design in the Microsoft framework.
• Reporting tool(s), (SQL Reporting Services, Crystal/Business Objects, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience and technical training.
